Intermittent operation:
Intermittent operation is natural in the majority of applications, where the nominal power is used only very seldom.
The yellow area below shows the electrical power demand vs. time of the day in residential applications: mean power is only one tenth of nominal power, and most of the time the power is very low.
Orange curve: the ENERGIESTRO set, thanks to its intermittent operation enabled by its flywheel, adjusts its fuel consumption to the electrical power demand.
Blue curve: the conventional gen-set in continuous operation consumes 20 to 25% of its nominal fuel consumption when the electrical power demand is very low.
The green area shows the gain on fuel consumption with the ENERGIESTRO set : it is cut in 3!

At night and during working hours (80% of the time) power demand is low.
Low power demand
About 7am, noon and 8pm (20% of the time)
power demand is high

High power demand

The intermittent operation of Energiestro:

INTERMITTENT CONSUMPTION = SAVED FUEL

BOTTOM LINE: FUEL INVOICE CUT IN 3!
